Acorns Are Growing
Acorns announce the relaunch of two popular Acorns coffee and cake locations under new management!.
Acorns will reopen their Horsebox in Bordon, now relocated outside the Phoenix Theatre, and the Kiosk in the Public Gardens in Alton.
The two Acorns' locations will be operated under license by Son and Father, Ben and Pete Adams, who will handle the day-to-day operations and have experience in retail food and beverage sales.
Acorns was started in February 2021 by locals Dayne Cartwright and Tracey Terry. It quickly became a firm local favourite with their coffee and cake offering.
Dayne Cartwright, MD of Rebels' Quarter, operators of Acorns Coffee & Cake stated "We are really pleased to make this announcement and begin a new chapter franchising our Acorns brand. We started the business as a small family venture and are pleased to hand over the day-to-day management to another local family team.”
Ben Adams (right in picture), himself a local, is enthusiastic about taking on the challenge of running the two busy locations with his father, “We know that Dayne and Tracey have built a real bond with their local customers and we hope that continues, as Acorns will still offer the same locally roasted Acorns coffee and hot drinks as well as a range of fantastically mouth-watering cakes, plus the menu will be expanding, we'll update you soon.
Tracey Terry, Operations Director for Rebels’ Quarter also stated "We love our businesses but juggling the time spent managing an expanding team and the needs of our family, including the needs of our disabled daughter, meant we had to temporarily close the horsebox and kiosk. But we're delighted to have found a team who can operate these locations now and once again serve the many local fans of Acorns’ locally roasted coffee and mouth-watering cakes."
Acorns will be operating at both locations from the 1st January, opening hours to be confirmed.
