Why Buy

Rwanda Liza is a clean, elegant coffee with bright fruit notes, gentle sweetness, and a silky finish. It’s beautifully balanced between clarity and complexity, offering a refined fruit-forward cup that’s never overpowering.

Is This For You?

You’ll love this if you enjoy clean, fruity coffees with a smooth and balanced profile. It’s great for filter brewing and slower, more thoughtful coffee moments. You might prefer something else if you prefer heavy, chocolate-led or low-acidity coffees.

Rwanda Liza

Rwanda Liza is a coffee that rewards attention to detail — not just in how it’s brewed, but in how it’s produced.

Grown in the highlands of Rwanda, this coffee is defined by its processing. Carefully selected cherries are delivered to a washing station, where they undergo a precise washed fermentation process designed to bring out maximum clarity and structure in the cup.

After hand-sorting, the cherries are pulped and fermented in water for a controlled period, allowing natural sugars and mucilage to break down. This stage is critical — too short, and the cup lacks depth; too long, and it risks losing balance. At Liza, this process is carefully monitored to achieve a clean, expressive profile.

The beans are then thoroughly washed and dried slowly on raised beds, turned regularly to ensure even drying and preserve their delicate characteristics. This meticulous approach results in a coffee that is incredibly clean, vibrant, and well-defined.

In the cup, Rwanda Liza delivers exactly what processing-focused coffee drinkers look for: bright citrus acidity, layered stone fruit sweetness, and a tea-like body with a crisp, structured finish. It’s a coffee where every stage of production is visible in the final cup.

At Acorns Coffee, this is a coffee for those who enjoy exploring the finer details — where process, origin, and flavour all align. It’s precise, expressive, and a perfect example of how careful processing can elevate coffee into something truly special.
