Acorns' Colombia Finca Sofa Medium Roast recently picked up a coveted 2 Star Great Taste Award given to food and drink that is ‘above and beyond delicious’, the judges described the Colombia Finca Sofia as having "a gorgeous walnut crema, with that classically creamy appeal. On the nose, the Coffee grounds have a light aroma of banoffee, while there is a rich marzipanny aroma with the espresso. Taking it straight, it is deeply favourful, full of deep nutty taste, while with the addition of hot milk, it has a gentle fruity acidity, which is tempered with the lactose notes that bring out a creamy fruitiness that develops into a long finish with a light and welcome sweetness."
It is made from 30 small scale producers creating a unique coffee not only in flavour but also in the way it is produced. This coffee bean has a stronger taste to the usual colombian, giving it a bit of individuality in comparison to the rest of them.
Origin: The western foothills of the Andes mountain range in the regions Antioquia, Risaralda and Valle.
